advice on new tv please?

i am in the process of buying one of those tvs that you put on the wall, but know nothing about what i should be looking for? it seems that the 40 " seems to be around a lot, but, is it because it is the best or most popular price wise? am buying for dd2 and boyfriend as combined house warming and christmas, so i dont want to skimp on it but dont know what i need to choose from all the highlights that it shows pon the pictures, such as KPART X1 and HDMI X2. i also need a tv bracket but they are just as confusing, some saying flat to wall? is it as confusing as it looks? could someone please point me in the right direction please?

Try visiting a Richer Sounds shop if you have one in your locality. They will give you advice and have just about the best prices on the "high street".

I think it's a bad idea to buy them a TV as a surprise. Consult with them and see what they want. Go for the biggest they can fit/afford. What if you buy one with 1 HDMI and they need 2, just for example?!
You can put ANY flat screen on the wall, that's no problem. You just need an appropriate bracket that will take that size/weight of TV.
