Further advice and issues with bailiff

It isn't too big a difference in opinion to be honest. I do see your point and I somewhat agree with what you are saying. I am not a deceitful person and as far as bailiffs go, there are worse out there than this one. All I have been asking for is a bit of understanding from both him and the court. The court aren't aware of the magistrates court act 1980 apparently because they have just refused to follow their own guidelines on the phone. With regards to the original post, it may be a bit of an underhand tactic and may well be blackmail but where children are concerned the gloves are off.
Most people in my line of work hold the older generations in a much higher regard than we hold ourselves and I take my hat off to them. If anyone is worthy of thanks or respect it is them. I sometimes wonder if this generation deserves praise for our service or condemnation for being used as a political tool but that's a WHOLE different subject.;)0 -
My grandfather was in the danish resistance, my stepfather served his whole life in the navy until he retired (from age 15 - they were less picky then) and I've lived a forces life since I can remember - I will always wear it with pride

And differences of opinion on THIS aside - thank you for your service. (I never understood why they understand the concept of thanking people for their service in the US but apparently not in the UK? baffling!)
Mrs Tinks,
My Grandad was at Jutland WW1, served the whole war in the Royal Navy.
My uncle was killed in action in Northern France whilst serving with the BEF prior to the Dunkirk evacuation, one of those who fought to hold up the Nazies as long as possible.
My dad served in the RAF during WW2, luckily he survived.

And knowing how if it goes wrong this might look on your papers for your job if you ended up with any criminal (worst case) charges... in the interest of your children, let's look at fixing this for you using 100% the rules available
I'm betting it's not just your job, but also your home that would be affected immediately (sadly the forces really don't give you much time to move out after you've left the service for any reason)
So a good page is here: http://bailiffadviceonline.co.uk/latest-news/bailiffs-and-vulnerability
Vulnerability is never a straight forward defense - but definitely worth looking at. Especially if you think they have acted incorrectly and despite it being clear someone is vulnerable failed to bear this in mind.
I'm not up enough on things with this particular type of debt to know if there is any defense in them sending it to the previous address initially, sorry but hopefully someone can come along and clear that up...
If I recall correctly this is a TV licence fine? This might help - particularly at the bottom of the page...

My grandfather was too young for WWI but was active blowing up rails and smuggling people during WWII - he sadly passed 8 years ago next month but he and my grandmother brought me up for 3 years of my life and taught me with love how to respect those before me.
If anything makes me sad these days it's how the poppy has been hijacked - and it reminds me I must be very un-MSE and get my Poppy from London framed properly this week! Husbeast agreed to have it done for me for my birthday as my present

I think you may be right to be honest maybe resorting to underhand tactics isn't the best way forward. I have looked on the online register and the agent in question only appears to have been in the job a couple of months. If anything a bit of friendly advice on where he has gone wrong and what sort of things he shouldn't be sharing might be the best option. On the surface he seems not too bad and he has given me at least one chance that he probably didn't have to. Maybe I should keep that in mind.
I'm now arguing this with the courts and have actually had one court speak up on my behalf while another just told a pack of lies. They may have also slipped up (hopefully someone here can clear this up) on record the debtor's name held by the court is a different name to the one on the warrant of execution. The difference is only maiden and married surname however so I'm not sure if there is an argument against that?0 -
The whole FIFA carry on was really sad to see. Those who have gone before us shouldn't have their memories tarnished in such a way. My great grandfathers both served in WW2. I am in the same regiment that one of them served in. Those men and women back then were cut from a different cloth entirely if you ask me. I can't picture many 18 year olds these days storming the beaches of normandy or jumping out of a plane under fire.0
