Anyone renewed a UK passport lately?

We sent new pictures and old passports via snail mail but didn't need to get our pics countersigned. I think it took about 3 weeks
I think the PO will do a fast track thing but we didn't bother with it.

The online option (where you upload the photos) is ridiculously fussy about the picture - I had loads of attempts, gave up, went to the chemist for a "guaranteed accepted" photo, it didn't like that either, but it looked perfectly fine to me and satisfied all the listed criteria.

So I did it the old way where you fill in online and print and send - did that and photo accepted and only took a week or so.

October , I sent it on Monday 10th got it back on Thursday 13th, well impressed..........

sent mine recorded delivery and got it back within a week

It's off-peak for the Passport office so the turnaround is quick - if you are concerned about not getting the passport back in time - go for the fast-track once week service

Just to say it's back,posted on friday,txt rcvd from passport office sunday saying they had rcvd it, arrived back here wednesday-brilliant service!

Mine was posted last Monday and new passport received today.
