I would be very grateful if someone could help me with the online moneyclaim service website. I have recently taken a tradesman to court after the shoddy work he did in my bathroom its been over a month now and I do not really understand the terminology of the wording on the site on the claim history it reads;
Your claim was issued on 03/10/2016
You submitted a judgment against Mr X on 01/11/2016 at 08:05:39
Your judgment against Mr X was issued on 02/11/2016 at 19:22:52
I am not sure what the above statement means or my next course of action? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi,
Just means the claim forms were sent out to the debtor on 02/11/2016.
He has a certain timeframe in which to respond to the claim form.
No doubt you will be informed if he admits the claim, or chooses to defend it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. It actually means it's gone a step further than that - you've actually got judgment against him and now need to enforce it (normally by sending in the bailiffs)0 -
Thank you for the replies both of you and to ciderboy for clarifying the matter. I thought I had a judgement but was not sure and was not also sure about the next course of action. I will request a warrant and see what happens. Thanks0

they have issued a default , as he has faid to respond , and indeed ask for extra tome to prepare the case.
however he may not have the papers , are you 110% sure that they went to the correct address ?
if not and the figure is substancial they may (when they find out) ask for a setaside , this will cost them £255Save a Rachael

Really, in that case should it not say "granted" instead of issued ???I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Bear in mind that default judgment is just a rubber stamp exercise0
