Difficulty Getting Travel Credit Cards
Comments

Nationwide Select Credit card is 0% commission, no fee, uses visa rates. You need to bank with Nationwide however.
Nationwide Flex Plus Current account is 0% commission and no fee on foreign cash withdrawals. Again, Visa rates.
I combine these when I go away for spending and cash withdrawals.0 -

I have 1 really old card that I spend a small amount on each month and clear,
How small is small? You could perhaps try spending a large amount on your one and only credit card each month and see if things improve.0 -
small as in c£500, the only issue with that being that the limit on the card is low so the utilization will show as high which might be a reason I didn't get the travel cards.
I got an Amex with £5k limit so I'll try spending £1k on that a month for 6 months to see if that helps and can try the travel cards again once the searches drop off my file.0
