Probably a good idea you find out why it was rejected.

Banks are very stringent these days in dealing with any dollar cheques.
The name does match just that account has not been used much of late,

Have you got a copy of the receipt - does it show what happens to the cheque if they decide not to negotiate?
Some banks now give you the option of sending the cheque back to you rather than collect the proceeds and let you wait for 4-6 weeks.0
