    Probably a good idea you find out why it was rejected.

    A few days holiday (with a new Dollar checking account) might be your only solution.

    The name does match just that account has not been used much of late,

    Heng Leng yes Im thinking that might well be the solution now.... off to look for a cheap flight!

    Which account do you mean by "that account", your TSB account or the US account on which the cheque was drawn?

    Have you got a copy of the receipt - does it show what happens to the cheque if they decide not to negotiate?
    Some banks now give you the option of sending the cheque back to you rather than collect the proceeds and let you wait for 4-6 weeks.
