Gas Safety Certificate - work recently done so do I need one yet?

I have a flat that is tenanted.
The central heating system and boiler were completely overhauled just a couple of months ago. The annual gas certificate is due in December.
I have receipts for the work done, so do I still need to have the gas safety cert renewed in December or can I wait until the anniversary of the overhaul?
Thanks for any advice on this..

Yes you need the certificate annually. Another option would have been if you'd got the engineer to issue the certificate when he did the work, early, to cover a year after it.
Hopefully you have had the other certificate you should have received following gas work/installation certificate or whatever?0 -
Unless the overhaul included a new boiler then yes, you still need one.0

1) what does 'overhauled' mean? You had it serviced? Or a new boiler installed?
2) Did the work done include all gas appliances in the property or are there others eg a gas fire or gas cooker?
* any appliance not covered by the 'overhaul' (eg gas cooker) will need the annual Gas safety inspection in December
* any existing appliance that was simply serviced (eg existing boiler) will also need the annual Gas safety inspection in December
* however if you had a new boiler installed, and that boiler was issued with a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate, and there are no other gas appliances in the property, then you do not need an annual inspection for the next 12 months.0 -
Thanks for your help all.
I didn't have the cooker or gas fire checked, so I now I realise that I'll have to get a certificate in December anyhow, no matter what was done to the boiler (which is 4 years old, so not new but not old either).0 -
