Adding the existing roller blinds to Upvc windows?
justaquestion
Hi folks,
Getting upvc windows and doors fitted to house and just wondering how the brackets for the roller blinds are fitted to the windows, as the existing brackets are both drilled to the side wall and also into the wood of the existing windows?
Would you expect the installers to do this for you, and any better solution other than drilling the new windows?
Thanks a lot

Fix the brackets to the wall and/or the top of the reveal.0

Thanks for reply.
Yes I understand about fixing to wall as it is already, but not familiar with the term "reveal" The existing brackets has two holes for attaching to side wall of window, and there is also two screws into the wooden window as well.
Must be an easy enough way to do it as lots of houses with Upvc windows around here have roller blinds in windows.
Maybe a different type of bracket, don't know.

Ask the window fitter. If you've supplied plenty of tea, biscuits and smiles while he's been doing the windows then he will most likely just pop them back up for you. Preferably just leave the fixings to him rather than tell him you're worried there'll be a problem and he will sort it without batting an eyelid.0

this person above talks sense , you may decide new blinds to go with your new windows so make a decision before they take them down and ask them to keep them safe if you want them to pop them back up . hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -
