buying shares new to this

hiyas im looking at maybe bujying northern rock shares.,.... maybe a good/bad thing to do ..
anyways i used to have norhtern rock shares when they became a ? company?? cant remeber what it was called.. neways had to give these up when i got divorced
havent got a clue where to start to buy shares? online? etc . got about £500 to invest

Just be aware of the volatility in the market and of course to the uncertainty to northern rock.
If you are thinking of buying share, you can try HSBC investdirect or some brokerage firm like H-L, selftrade, etc.
I think there were a few recommended ones here.
Make sure you know what the business is well enough before you put your money. £1 lost is £1 lost.0 -
