With some licensing authorities, even minor damage to the bodywork of a taxi can mean it can no longer be used until repaired. Guess who would be receiving a claim from the taxi driver for loss of income ?If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I wouldnt mention the fact that you where driving a vehicle with faulty brakes to the insurance company regardless of whether they were fitted badly or not, it will be a get out for the insurers not to pay the claim if they get a loss of expense claim from the taxi driver - unless you will pay for the damage, injury and loss of earnings as well.
You will not be able to claim off the garage for damage you have caused to the taxi, you may just get your brakes fixed again for free.0 -
Pads have a bedding in process. Until correctly bedded in, the brakes won't be as a effective. How many miles after fitting did the accident occur?0

If you're avoiding your insurance companies, you're effectively saying that the crash didn't happen, officially.
It would be a bad idea to turn up to court about it.
If you can prove that you've been sold NEW, WARPED brake DISKS, maybe you can take it up with the retailer/manufacturer.
Warped disks won't stop you from stopping though - you crashed because you were caught out, following too closely, weren't used to your new brakes, or didn't brake hard enough. Warped disks would, at best, only contribute towards this.0 -
