Central heating too hot

Not had this problem before but since weve had the heating on this autumn the radiators are boiling hot to touch, each has a thermostat, no seperate room thermostat and the thermoststs are at the half way mark. There is a heat control on the boiler itself and I have turned this down but its made no difference. It feels like the heating is on full blast when it isnt, any theories as to why? Weve not done anything different to other years.

Thermostat on the boiler not working properly?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

The temperature of the radiators is controlled by the boiler so if this isn't making a difference get an engineer in to look at your boiler.
TRVs control when the radiators are on or off, nothing more.
I'd highly recommend you look into getting a programmable room stat installed too.0
