Now the TV question has been answered, next question will be which do you go for out of Chromecast, Now TV box, Amazon Fire stick or the Roku box.
Now TV wont let you access Amazon Video but a Roku box will let you access Amazon Video, Now TV, Google films, BBC iPlayer, list of what you can access on a Roku player.0 -
Hi everyone
Many thanks for your comments / experiences. You've all pretty much summed up the dilemma for inbuilt smart TV apps. Also, I think there is a logic that TV suppliers are going to focus far more on the basics of the TV rather than on demand (although I think this is changing).
We've got an old flat screen in the dining room attached to a Kodi / Dadslife MXIII. We've also got an Amazon account so it makes sense for the solution to be able to access that.
Dumb TV it is then.
Re the TV itself, I was looking primarily at Samsung; only because their TVs tend to weigh less than the others, and the TV will be wall mounted on an extendible arm (hence weight is important).Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Samsung ue32k5100 then, although I'd wait a bit until the black Friday sales start.0

It really depends what you're willing to pay. You can get some decent non SMART TV's and can buy a Humax box to add the "SMART" functions.
If you're looking to wall mount and add trunking. Then you're best to get a SMART TV at the outset.0
