Front Brakes

Can anyone suggest what is wrong here?

I today took the front wheels off my Nissan Note to change the brake pads - this is something I have done many times in the past.

I then simply pushed the brake plunger back and removed the bottom bolt on the caliper and loosened to top bolt - moved the caliper up then seeing I did not need to change replaced everything.

I made sure the wheel turned freely before and after replacing the road wheel.

The car drives ok and brakes perfectly the only thing is when I turn to the right something appears to be making a rubbing sound.

I have taken apart again and nothing seems wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas as to where to look now?

I have one of those, the suspension is very weak and not really upto the job, but anyhow, mine does that if there isn't masses of clearance between the rusty metal dustshield and the wobbly brake disc (needs new discs every year, as the vibration through the steering would break my wrists if I kept the old ones).

Bend the dust shield inwards a bit more, there are indents in the shield that come close to the disc.

You are actually supposed to renew the calliper bolts every time you mess with them, they supply new ones with new brake pads
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Thank you I will try that - I used to get new bolts in with the new pads but for the last 3 or r purchases no bolts were included - perhaps they are money saving

I'd get some new bolts then.

Thank you for your reply, I think you are right about the dust covers.
However I couldn't see much wrong with them but decided to change the pads even though I didn't need to and problem is now fixed
