New boiler install

Hi guys,

Is £2000 a good price for the fititng of a new boiler, removing the old one and redundent pipework and fitting trv's on all radiators? I'm in SE London.

Also the boiler is a Viessmann Vitodens 30kw one is this a good make?

Thanks in advance.

  • Good evening: The price you have been quoted is cheap for London. A few questions...is the installer CORGI registered and able to self- certify the installation...you can check here www.trustcorgi.com ? Also does the quote include a programmable room stat, chemical flushing of the system and addition of inhibitor, making good flue, upgrading gas supply if required, removing all waste associated with the installation, balancing and commissioning of system, completion of Benchmark Service Book? My OH, Corgi Guy, says the Vitodens would benefit greatly from a filter on the heating return by the name of Magnaclean or Fernox Boiler Buddy.
For further info on the installation and specification of gas central heating see http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/uploads/documents/housingbuildings/ce30.pdf

Get at least 3 quotes from CORGIs recommended to you by a source you trust and compare quotes like for like. Alternatively try the CORGI site or the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers www.iphe.org.uk
