Water Tank Leak?
Casual-Cal
Something on my water tank is leaking, it only leaks when the heating is switched on, not when the hot water is on.
This is where the leak is coming from, the little white box in the picture.

Can anyone tell me what part this is? I rent and am awaiting a plumber to come out. I think I have a regular boiler system, boiler in kitchen and then endless other bits with this large tank in a cupboard. Always something going wrong or breaking down when I switch the heating on every year. Only switched the heating on last Wednesday and it sprung this leak!

The white box in the centre, with black section on the bottom?
Looks like a 2-port valve, electrically controlled valve used to control the hot water from the boiler. It's probably a leak on the valve spindle, leaking when it changes position to direct hot water around the central heating circuit.0 -

Yeah that is the one, I had a funny feeling it was called that. According to my history of repairs on my tenancy account, the same thing was replaced in January 2016!0
