just purchased a hotpoint under counter freezer "A" energy rated to replace a Bosch "C" energy rated, the new freezer compressor seems to be on more than the old freezer, thought it would be on less as it is a higher energy efficiency rating "A"....the compressor averages 7 min on and 20 min off pretty consistently, does this seem right , i asked hotpoint they did not have a clue!cheers

Good evening: Lots of technical gurus on the Ukwhitegoods site (have referred many MSErs there very recently) ..try posting your query on the forum.

What are the power consumption ratings for both the old and the new freezer?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

unfortunately the old one has gone, so cannot compare...........thankssanfly0

25% on duty cycle sounds like a lot for a freezer, once its reached optimum temp I wouldn't have thought it would fire up the compressor all that often.
have a look on bosch.co.uk and see if you can email the tech guys. You might have a duff sensor, its not beyond the realms of possibility.0
