Do annual Direct debits count for switching?

Do annual direct debits count for current acc switching bonuses?

Situation is thus...have a Santander 123 with two DD's coming out monthly...now the interest has dropped I want to switch to the co-op but to get their £150 bonus I need to have 4 DD's. I have another current account which has my annual magazine subs DD coming out (August and sept payments) so I could switch those to my 123 account to make it 4 DD's

But would that count, as the payment will never have come out of my 123 account? And won't come out of the new one until Aug and sept 2017?

I'm sure the COOP want active DD for the switching bonus so it works for that, but for the continued monthly payment your DD would need to come out every month so the magazine subscription would only work in those months but not the others, Paypal or tesco savings can help for another DD.
