Should I let the CC companies know

I've never actually told my bank/cc that I am retired although a quick glance would make it obvious. It didn't stop them from almost doubling my credit limit when I rang to ask. They have records which tell them if you manage your affairs responsibly. There is no reason that would change at retirement.
I do sometimes wonder though that if you started being bad at this, if the consequences might be more severe due to the limited chances of increasing income & the possiblilty of dying owing money which it may not be possible to reclaim.0 -
