Help! I need to buy new kitchen appliances!

I'm having a kitchen refit and it has been suggested that I buy the oven, hob and extractor myself. The oven I'm ok with (I know what I want and that I need a built-in oven with fitting kit), the hob is pretty straightforward, but I'm struggling with the extractor fan.

I've decided to have one of the built-in extractor fans that open out with a hood - ie one that you pull a door outwards to start the extractor. (or something that is integrated so I just have to flick a switch underneath).

However, when shopping online - I don't know what to look for. What's the official terminology? Is it a built in extractor hood?

I guess I'd be best going along to a store and looking at them, but I wondered if anyone could recommend what I need to look for, or what they bought for their kitchen. Also, apart from the door front; is there anything else I need to make sure I buy with the extractor?
