Just had our dining room tanked and newly plastered, newly plastered ceiling also. Is it best to apply Dulux Sealer or watered down matt emulsion for the first coat.

water thinned matt - ideal stuff is B&Q value emulsion or paint for new plaster. (they are a none vinyl emulsion).Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

Watered down contract matt emulsion will do fine. No need for special plaster sealers although I have used Screwfix Bare Plaster paint on numerous occasions and it does a very good job and saves the hassle of watering down to the right consistency.
As usual, please ignore anyone who even suggests putting PVA on it. 0
