Patio door suggestions

My dining room has patio doors that open outwards as shown in the plan below. The current doors open to about 135°, so they won't fold flat against the outside wall. Between the doors and the support posts for the trellis in the middle of the patio, there isn't much usable space left on the patio. I'm considering removing the trellis, but I'd appreciate suggestions on replacing the patio doors with ones that take up less space when open.
The doors are only 162cm wide, which is too narrow for a bi-fold door. Widening the doors would probably be too expensive to consider at the moment - I only bought the house in January and there are a lot of other things I want to do.
One option would be doors that open outwards, but fold flat against the outside wall. I've read that this type of hinge doesn't work well with UPVC doors due to their weight. Are there alternatives?
My other option would be doors that open inwards. I'd choose a 2-panel folding door that folded to the left, so the open doors wouldn't take up space in the middle of the room. Do doors with a single fold suffer from the alignment problems and drafts that bi-fold doors can have?
Can anyone see a better solution than the ones I've thought of?

If the patio door frame is located flush with the front face of the wall the doors can open out without catching on the wall.
Technically this is not an ideal solution, (exposure and how do you keep the door open to be considered) but it is often done.0 -
Why not change the doors for a sliding patio door purpose made by a local company to fit that gap?
For example this type:-

Or the reverse of what Furts suggested and have them open flush with the wall on the inside.0
