Now TV no service for a month

Hi everyone I need some advice I changed from sky to Now TV because my deal was ending and we're thinking of moving house so I wanted pay as you go and no contract.

Unfortunately I entered the wrong telephone number when I placed the order. I had service (broadband TV and phone) for about 3 weeks then they said they had to cancel as the number belonged to someone else.
That was at the beginning of October since then I've had no service and Now TV are telling me there is a problem trying to cancel it.

I've made about 10 calls to them each time they say it should be done in about 72hrs.
I've had 3 reasons why they've had problems the last one is they're IT system has a fault.

I can't go elsewhere as the line to my house is blocked by NowTV.

In the last call I told them I have signed a contract for a landline and they are currently putting myself and my family at risk as I can't call 999 from my landline in an emergency.

To make this matter worse nearly every promise to call me back had been broken.

Is there anything I can do? I'm getting desperate.
