Has any one had any bathroom fittings that didn't rust? Every time I buy towel rail, soap holders ect, they go rusty. Are stainless steel any good? Suggestions please!
Thanks, in advance

The only items we've owned that didn't rust were chrome ones from John Lewis. We're still using them now after 10 years & they look like new still. However they are very expensive - worth it if you dont intend changing them regularly. You can tell the difference in thickness of chrome plating when compared with cheaper versions.
My experience with stanless steel is still hit & miss. You will need to pay for top quality stainless that wont rust (it's the same with s/s hardware for bikes - plenty sold as rust proof but seldom are when exposed to water for a period of time).0 -
Stainless steel grade 316 won't rust but 304 will (eventually)...........Its a hit n miss thing when it comes to bathroom fittings.0

Proper old fashoined brass, or search for Chrome plated brass which won't rust even when the plating gets worn, it is expensive though.0
