Raking leaves

I know it sounds like a stupid question but hopefully someone is able to give an answer. A couple of weeks ago, I overseeded the lawn and applied granular fertiliser. A lot of the fertiliser is still on the soil.

I need to rake up some grass leaves without disturbing the fertiliser and grass seed. Is there a simple and easy way to do this? Or should I just proceed carefully with my lawn rake?

And without the collection box - the leaves will be chopped up and provide extra humus for the soil.

Mower without the box might be ok, but more because the vacuum effect will be reduced. High setting will miss a lot of leaves but it'll get enough of them to prevent the lawn getting damaged.

No they wont. the leaves will just get blown back out almost whole. And they take a long time to rot.

Mower on high setting will work (with box on) but not so effective when the leaves are very wet......

Must depend on your mower - always works well for us.

I rake them up myself, but then i haven't put seed down.
But i bag-up the leaves and save them. Eventually they'll
rot down to make extra compost.
