Life has got in the way but I have potted £400 this year which I’m really pleased with :j
I won’t sign up for another year because I don’t get time to post, but I’ll still be potting because it’s habit now

Sorry I'm Late .. only just cracked my pot open ... Sealed pot member #540 declaring £2089. My daughter and I really took the challenge on board this year - all our car boot season money went straight into the pot which is why it is so huge this year. Thanks to this challenge we are going to have a fantastic Christmas xx Thanks Everybody xx

Hello again Rosie!!!!! I’m delighted at the amount you’ve saved, many congratulations to you on doing so!!!!! :dance::T:dance:
However, I’d be so bitterly disappointed 😢 if you weren’t to still be part of SPC. You’ve been with us for so long now and to think of you not coming back is horrible! Please reconsider! Even if we only see you once a year it’s still our R returning to us. Please think it through.

Hi all

Sealed pot member #042 calling in here. :hello:

I didn't pay much attention to my sealed pot this year, mainly using it to store smaller coins that I'm not keen on (5p and 20p I'm looking at you :D).

My total in the pot is therefore a modest £75.80.

However, I have also saved £916 in a savings account for Christmas, so all is well.

I can remember when this SPC used to be an absolute lifeline for me. Much as I always loved Christmas, it was often a time of great stress figuring out how to give my kids a lovely time on limited funds. Thanks to Sue and all who run this thread - you don't know how much it has helped me in the past :T.

Life is more comfortable these days but I still like doing the sealed pot because it still brings me comfort . Merry Christmas one and all :xmastree:

Ah there you are peaceandfreedom, and lovely to see you it is!!!!! It's always wonderful to see our former members return each year, and you are no exception!

Excellent savings - BUT - in the T & Cs on my first post on Page 1 it states clearly that, all other Christmas savings can be included in your SPC cash!

So sorry I'm late.
Sealed Potter 057 declaring at £137.57 .
I had to break in around June and took out £35 in notes to pay for a return to Watford General Hospital when my son was suddenly admitted.
I put the shrapnel in a new tin then carried on.
I'm not sure if I'm declaring £137.57 or the actual total collected which was £172.57.
I'll join again in 2018 and kick off with the office lottery share out in January. This time, barring a miracle it will be £22 against the £240 I've paid into the syndicate this year
I'm pulling out of the syndicate in January, I reckon I get better "interest" from my sealed pot

I think I’d be inclined to agree with you re the lottery v SPC, hubby and I stopped doing it months ago, darned good job too! See you over on 11.
