Private eye parking ticket

The car park of my GP surgery is owned by Private Eye, I parked in a disabled space with my blue badge, keyed in the right numberplate into the machine(I always triple check it), stayed for 27 minutes, thought all was well, but I got issued a parking charge notice of £100 today as they photographed me entering and leaving. The machine must've malfunctioned, but I don't know how I'm going to prove that. My GP has written a note confirming my appnt for me to pick up, but I'm worried.. Any advice guys?
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

I doubt Ian Hislop owns your GP Surgery's car park! You mean ParkingEye.

Appeal as per the NEWBIES thread that you read first before you posted. Appeal to PE online and attach the GP's letter and Blue Badge as well. You do not have to prove your case. Lord knows why the Practice Manager didn't just cancel this for you!

Does your PCN mention keeper liability after 29 days? (please check the wording on the front and tell us).

Was it received within 14 days?

no its not , its probably owned by the G.P. practice !!

it may well be managed by Parking Eye (not by the IAN HISLOP magazine) as a third party contractor

your practice manager should have got this cancelled as mentioned above, or if its owned by somebody else get them to cancel the pcn

it may be that you entered the VRM incorrectly

also appeal it using the BPA blue text template from the NEWBIES sticky thread, on the P.E. website (use the correct P.E. this time , lol) and attach a copy or scan of the letter and a scan or picture or copy on the BB too

do not mention who was driving, assume I was driving

P.E. do not check or monitor blue badges

Quite often the clinic will have a website with a feedback page. Post an adverse comment there, they hate that.

BTW, calling Parking Eye Private Eye shows a worrying lack of attention to detail, you are up against one of the biggest scams in the country by one of the biggest scammers, you need to be on your front foot or this could cost you..

Hi guys, the letter doesn't mention "liability keeper" but the way it's written doesn't make the best of sense. It says that I didn't receive appropriate permit/authorisation and that I am notified under paragraph 9(2B) schedule 4 of the protection of freedom acts 2012 that I am obliged to pay. it also says it doesn't have drivers name .It also says I'm warned that after 29 days from date given, the parking charge has not been paid, we have a right to recover the fine.
It is dated 1/11/2016 and I received it on the 3rd.

I scanned in a letter from the practice stating that I was using the car park for it's intended purpose of dr appnts, and the date and time of my appnt, and did the appeal online. I never received an email confirmation which is stressing me out, as they might make it hard for me to prove I did appeal..Is this the norm not to receive confirmation?

I've seen the reams of Parking Eye charges on this subforum, they do seem to be extortionate scammers, albeit legal ones. They provide no telephone number , it all seems pretty dodgy really
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

If you appealed as per Redx's advice above then you are following the track thousands are taking each year.

PE have 35 days to respond to your appeal.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
