How to fix loo with sewer gas

I have a downstairs loo which fills the small toilet with a smell which could be sewer gas. However, lifting the drain, I can't see any blockage.

I've flushed the reservoir tank, rim and pan with various chemicals, mainly bleach, and the smell leaves from time to time but always comes backl.

Neither of my neighbours report any smells, although I'm not sure whether to believe the downstream one. The upstream one have had outside drain problems within the last year.

Hi sounds like the sewer gas is coming from a failed joint at the back of your WC ( common fault ) get a plumber out to check and possibly fit a new muli quick connector on the wc outlet pipe. Not sure if you have a trditional vent pipe or Durgo valve fitted as these aalso fail.

If you also have one of those little basins that never get used, make sure the trap water in that has not evaporated.
