What is this plan????
Hi
we have this approximately 1 metre long very spiky plant with pink coloured flowers near our driveway. It is slowly encroaching onto the lawn and is very difficult to cut and control as it is very spiky.
I have attached the pictures.
What plant or shrub is this?
Is it more of a weed?
the roots are pretty difficult to remove, and from the cut down stems long slender new stems grows next year which are full of spikes as you can see from the pictures

That could be wild teasel, though the stems look a bit more prickly than they usually are.[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.

Its difficult without seeing more of it but I would guess its a Japanese Raspberry maybe - very spiky stems, pale pink single flowers?0

The leaves look like rosa rugosa.0

A good hedging plant but it seems like you have it in the wrong place. Dig out what you can, then spray with weedkiller as it comes up, if you decide to remove it.0
