I've decided to leave Santander after many years due to the changes they have introduced. I am considering the Nationwide Flexplus with the 7 day switch. My question is, in my eyes it seems a much batter deal than Santander but are there any pitfalls in switching?
I usually deposit around 2k a month and leave a balance of around £200 at the end of the month, I have all bills etc paid by D/D so that part should be no problem for the account.
Have I chosen a better deal in accounts than where I am at the moment? I currently pay seperately for my travel insurance plus 2 x breakdown insurances on my car and bike PLUS then European cover when I do a yearly tour in my bike.
Thanks

It sounds like that account would meet your needs very well.
Be sure to get a friend or family member to refer* you for the Nationwide account. That way you'll both get £100...and that's almost your first year's monthly premiums taken care of!

Thanks for that and the link.
I've just had a friend to the recommend so we both win.
Thanks again.0 -
Had the account for 2 years now for the £10 for me it's excellent value, the travel insurance alone pays for itself for me as it covers my existing condition at no extra cost, add in mobile cover used it twice with no problem and the breakdown cover and free used abroad it's the cheapest package account I could find with better cover than many other more expensive ones0

I love the account - made use of the travel and mobile insurance a few times and never been a hassle any time.
It's excellent value for money!0 -
We transferred to N Flex Plus, too. With the interest, it costs us about £4 a month. Well worth it.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

Excellent account, I use the worldwide travel insurance, 2 x breakdown (joint account) and phone cover for 4 iPhones. Absolute steal!
The only slight niggle is that some transactions but not all can occur at the weekend. Incoming salary credits and direct debits seem to post Monday but internal transfers to the 5% saver can occur over a weekend. Sent me into overdraft on one occasion.Ethical moneysaver0 -
I'd echo previous comments, very happy with the account and the benefits for £10 per month.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
