As I started reading your post, I was thinking 'please tell me they didn't pay by bank transfer...'
With the documents you were sent, did you use 192.com or similar to verify they lived at the address? Are thry paying council tax there?
It does sound like a scam unfortunately. Ouch.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I just did the 192.com, can confirm the details match the Information she gave me, I even searched through social media and found her Facebook and her information, like part of England she lived in, her picture, does sort of match the details sent.
I'm starting to think at first, she actually does have the product and she wanted for me to do cash on collection but since I wasn't able to, after she proposed to do delivery, at this point she perhaps decided 'I could actually just scam this guy'.
But like others say, this person could have easily be a fraud and have gotten others details. Will update this evening.0 -

You had a wanted ad up on Gumtree and someone contacted you from another part of the country, you should have ended it there. I can only hope I'm wrong but it really looks like a scam.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. The whole sounds iffy. No tracking details kind of seals it for me.0

Er... anyone who pays more than £10/month on their phone bill and gets a "free" phone with their "deal"...
If you look at the cost of a phone vs the extra you pay on a monthly tariff, then it is often cheaper to buy the phone outright and take a cheaper tariff.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
