I have a HP mini 210 running 7 starter
I had started the update to 10 in June but did not get round to doing the final install till today I left it at install no window once the download had finished (took a few days)
I had been looking for way to activate it but when it finished the install it was activated. I thought the free upgrade was over?
Does the activation bit get done during the download or are the free upgrades still working?

I think because you downloaded it prior to installation today, you are OK and it is just as if you had downloaded and installed immediately. As regards activation, I don't know because I haven't taken the W10 update.0

If you go into Control Panel and select System you will find towards the bottom of the screen a section entitled Windows Activation.
Within that section it should cleary state that Windows is Activated (or not as the case may be)0 -
thanks
activated so should be good to go with a full reinstall of 10 when ready
next job is get track pad tap to select working properly.0 -
The free upgrades might still be working. Certainly the option to type in a Product Key form Windows 7 or 8 was working after the deadline, and might still be working now.getmore4less wrote: »Does the activation bit get done during the download or are the free upgrades still working?0 -
