Council Car Park - Damage to Car Claim?
Comments
-
The difference with a pothole in the road is that you're generally driving at speed so visibility & reaction time may be different. Hopefully you weren't driving over 30mph round a car park.Guess we can argue all day long on the terminology on the fact that the bollards were stationary and that I drove into them, could you not say the same about a pothole which is also stationary?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Council might send you the bill to repair the bollard sence it sounds as if you have flattened it.0

You could try and find a no win, no fee solicitor to take it on but given that they won't recover any costs, I doubt anyone will take it on. [/B]Also, most places will only take on cases where they consider that they have a better than 50% chance of success.
If you think you're in the right and will succeed, issue a claim yourself. You will have to pay the issue fee and a hearing fee but if you think you'll win, go ahead.
They'll do it for 25% which will see the OP short for their repair and given the fact it won't be a big bill I doubt they'll take it on.0 -
