Hi , I'm wondering what flea treatment to use, and where do you buy from please?
He is due next week , Cpl used stronghold which I gather is prescription only, they also used panacur wormer. Which I was told doesn't need doing till he goes out now, does that hold true even if he's raw fed?
I've seen advantage flea on Vet uk and to save on postage was going to get wormer and maybe house flea spray. Does anyone know if there is a shelf life to these products, are they likely to become ineffective if I store them ? Does anyone else use Vet uk ? Is there anywhere else better? Thanks x

I use Advocate on my two kittens & get it from their Vet; i'm not sure of the cost as it's part of a monthly scheme they do where the years flea treatments are included
I've been told mine are to be flea treated once a month, even though they aren't yet going out
I think the best stuff is from Vets but that the Vet can give the prescription so they can be bought, often cheaper, online?
My household flea spray last ages & can be stored just fine but i've been spraying it around the back window to stop spiders lol0 -
Thanks tiger lily.
Is the vet scheme like the vets 4 pets one , you pay £99. And they cover whole of life annual injections? I was looking at doing g this, but not sure when to register for it as he's had initial injections, neutering and chipping with cpl vets, but this is too far for us to keep going to so need a vet close by, and vets 4 pets is just round the corner.
It's also why I was going to buy flea treatment online. As hopefully he won't need the vet until his booster is due in 12 months.
If the spray keeps spiders away my daughter will be buying some !!!!Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
So far I haven't had any spiders this year & usually get 2-3 around August - Oct so i'm hoping so! It says it sorts everything but spiders lol so maybe they just don't like the smell or something, or i'm just lucky so far *awaits huge one*
I have mine on a plan where I pay £10 a month each (Vets4Pets too) & they get the year's worth of flea treatments in that yep, it seems a good thing! It does also cover their vaccination booster, including leukaemia.
Vets4Pets have 12 'perks' to their plan & you can pick any 6, so for you microchipping etc may be no use, but you might use 10% off of lab tests or whatever
Strike Back is the flea pray (household) I am using against the spiders, but don't take my word for it I may just be lucky! If any do get in, i'm hoping two Siamese x kittens will eat them, tho am slightly worried they do like to carry things & drop them on me (they play fetch!)0 -
I get a Seresto flea collar from the vets - it's about £30 & lasts 9 months.0

Haha tiger - lily my daughter would freak out if a spider was dropped on her!
Thanks all , I've ordered advantage as it doesn't need script, and panacur wormer granules.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0
