ES Enforcement County Court Claim

However just received another copy of this dated 4th April to my current address and no idea how they would have this address.
Is your current address up to date with the dvla? They could have requested your details again to ensure they've got the right address.
Usually PPCs don't don't this as they actually want the documents to go to the wrong address as it increases their chances of a default CCJ. But so close to the court date this wouldn't do them any favours and they don't want to be accused of not serving their ws on you.0 -
Yes my details are up to date with the dvla so they must have got them this way!
The copy was very slightly different on the cover letter and one of the exhibits had a reference gls1 noted on it but apart from that it was all the same information.
Thanks0 -
The PPC can only legitimately access your details once per ticket. They've possibly used a tracing agency?
If you wish, you can check with the DVLA by whom and when your details have been accessed - it's free, but the request has to be made in writing.

Court day tomorrow! No discontinuance received
I have my file and a spare one made in case they don't bring my papers. I have a print out of the lay rep law, can they ever refuse this? Worried that they might!
Finally any last pearls of wisdom from anyone? Is it sad that I almost feel a little bit excited?! It's a strange feeling0 -

Good luck, your well prepared and that's the main thing. Just need to hope you get a sensible judge.
Judge should not refuse to hear a lay rep but it has been known to happen.
Have you prepared a costs schedule?0 -
Thank you yes I have done a costs schedule I sent this to the court and gladstones last Wednesday. No response from gladstones of course but I got a reply from the court to confirm that they had received it.
I will get partner trained then just in case they refuse it. I've not noticed any parking claims go to Huddersfield and I check on bmpa pretty much everyday... can't decide if that's a good thing or bad thing but I guess I will soon find out!
Thank you for everyone's help on here I will be letting you all know the outcome either way!0 -
I won!!
Will give full details later but they have to give us £158.10, they gave us 90 for holiday leave, parking and mileage then 3 hours of research costs, they didn't give us the printing and posting costs that we tried to claim. Happy with the result though and glad it is all over!0 -

:j fantastic, well done :j
I was confident of a positive outcome with this one but there's always that fear of getting a dippy judge. Really pleased for you.
Enjoy this moment, and pour yourself a drink... Justice tastes sweet!
Don't forget to give us that report though. Reading success stories is the food that sustains us :beer:0 -
I'm surprised they didn't award printing and postage, as surely they are easily-provable costs incurred? (Receipts available?)
But well done! \o/0 -
Yay, VERY well done!
We now await the full court report please, as you enter the MSE Hall of Fame of hearing winners! Which court, which Judge, what happened from the moment you got there, etc.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
