Issues with shower and water

Hi all not to sure if this is the right section for this or even the right forum. I'll try and keep it short.

So I am having trouble with my shower. RIGHT now it's tinning bettween boiling hot and freezing.

A few weeks ago a smart meter was fit inside my flat in the bathroom. WHICH should not effect anything of cause.

The engineer did however say he changed something for some reason. He ended that with the bathroom now has drinking water.

I don't know if that would play a part in this.

I went on to change the hose and head of the showee and also a soinoide these made no difference.

Thames water/ the compay that installed the smart meter seem to be washing there hands of it and have been unable to provide an answer to the drinking water comment. I'M still waiting for a call back.

What do you guys think?

Shower problem or can that water change be a cause?

Morning, its a triton aquatronic 2 shower.

if I honest I don't really know any thing about the water system.

I live in a ground floor flat of 6 flats, I have a combi boiler also.

I believe the shower heats its own water where the supply comes from i'm not sure I would have assumed a tank of some sort. which is why I wondered if this whole drinking water played an effect.

Presumably if you now have drinking water in the shower room, it is mains not tank. If this has also been connected to the shower, it might affect the temperature control depending upon type of shower. Can you hear your cold water tank refilling after toilet flush/cold water/shower usage? If so, carry out checks by flushing toilet, running cold water at wash basin and at shower and let us know what happens.
