Private company car park ticket

Today I got a ticket for failing to put my permit in the windscreen whilst in a private company carpark, you cannot get in or out of this car park without a key fob device which I had.....the pcn is from PTL and they are demanding £60 for failure to display my permit which I think is extortionate, the permit was actually sitting on my console in the car if the warden had bothered to look he'd have spotted it .....I need some expert advice please
I've read some of the other posts and can't find anything related to a secure car park ticket
Thanks

You only need to read 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' really.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

I did look through them but couldn't see anything related to my circumstances0

You don't need it. Read the sticky thread, it suits ALL cases. Not sure what you man by 'them'? The NEWBIES thread is one thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As above, please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIEs then send the BPA template in blue that you will find there at the appropriate time.
Please tell us the date of the alleged event and when and by what method you got the PCN.
Please also confirm the precise name of the parking company as there are many with similar sounding names and initials.
Do not reveal who was driving under any circumstances.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

So today is day zero. You should appeal online around day 26 if allowed, or around the 24th by post from a Post Office counter making sure you get a free proof of posting.
Do NOT appeal too early, but do not miss the appeal deadline. Do nit pay, do not reveal who was driving.
What happened when you complained to the landowner?
Why do you need a permit to park? Is it related to where you live? If so, are you a tenant? If so, then you need to tell us what your lease/rental agreement says.
This all assumes you are not in Scotland or NI.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

It's a company carpark. I'm doing some work for them on the buildings, you need a fob to get in and out of the car park which they supplied along with the permit....why a permit is needed when you need a fob to get in or out is beyond me ....I'll be complaining to the property manager tomorrow
I've read the stickys .....why wait 26 days to appeal on the ticket it's says I must appeal within 14 days .....the parking company is PTL by the way and I can't find thing about them in the list of cases MSE has helped with
I'm in England0 -
why wait 26 days to appeal on the ticket it's says I must appeal within 14 days .
The ticket DOES NOT say that, it tries to rush you by 'offering' a bribe within 14 days if you PAY but it does not give you 14 days to appeal.
It gives you 28.
From that sticky thread right under where I tell people to delay it to day 26 and appeal without saying who was driving:Why wait till day 26 before appealing?
To engage them in the appeals process at a time when they should also be posting a Notice to Keeper. Many PPCs forget the NTK when replying to an appeal and if you appeal as 'keeper' then the very fact a PPC then forgets to send you a NTK by day 56, gives you a winning point at POPLA stage.
Don't forget this: if you appeal on day 25 or 26 after a windscreen PCN, make sure you take note of whether any postal NTK is ever received. You must include 'no keeper liability' at POPLA stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Between post #6 and post #8 you say you've read the sticky - 28 minutes max!
Skim reading this stuff won't get you where you need to be. You have to take your time to understand it.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
