Is there anything official about this anywhere?
I picked up a camera from local Branch last month - after a VERY, VERY hard 3-month battle to make them honour a 2-year Manufacturer's Guarantee. The company had gone to the wall. I was supposed to do the same. None of my 'phone or RD letter costs were refunded.

  • It is just on the website now if you try and order something for collection ~ the collect instore option has changed to say £4.85 if under £25. Free if over £25.

Not sure why but no use to me now, used to get some good bargains collecting in store.

If you've already placed your order and paid, then you will not be charged anything extra.

just spend enough to get the free delivery, then take back the items you dont need to the store, for a credit

  • Do what I've done in the past (to make order up to MOV) order something in a strong colour - paint/curtains etc. open them as soon as you collect and then say they are far brighter/different colour to that on the website and ask for a refund. It means one trip instead of two!

I am rapidly losing patience with them. Out of 10 orders over the past 12 months, 6 have been either late, incomplete or cancelled altogether. If they are charging for instore pick-up, they can forget it.

Why not order a sim as they have free delivery, and you can then choose delivery to your house with a 2 hour slot, then take the sim back for a full refund
  • Interesting as the FAQ at http://direct.tesco.com/help/default.aspx (question 10) still says about store pick up "and arrange free pick up"
