....but
We have just completed and moved into our new place Monday, we're having major work done as the house is time warped to the 70's. Part of that is to move the fuse box and electric meter as it's currently in a random island in the middle of the hallway. The builder has advised that the supply to the house needs to be moved, about 1.5 ft to the left so it's on the wall and no longer in the middle of the floor. Electrician has advised it's the electricity board who do that work. I'm guessing that's our supplier? Is there no other type of company who undertake this kind of work? We are going to be changing supplier and I don't want to be tied with who supply's the house presently, if they do it then we're tied till they finish aren't we?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, please point me in the right direction if there is a better place.
Many thanks

I had this done on my property about 10 years ago, it's only the electricity board that can carry out this work. I think this is who you contact:
https://www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk/internet/en/our-services/outside-my-building-within-my-property-boundary/move-my-electricity-meter-or-cables/
It was a while ago, but I recall that it felt rather expensive for the amount of time it took, but there's no alternative really.0 -

Thank you
I was hoping there was another option as these guys are expensive, I believe my supplier might be cheaper but I'll have to wait and see.

Your supplier will not do this work, it is the electric board only, in my case it would be western power - no other option.YNWA
