Alternative to freezer bags

I've got several plastic bowls that originally had microwaveable sponge pudding mix in them. Recently instead of putting leftover spag bol in a bag, I've bunged it in the bowl and frozen it. As I'm planning on eating it only a week later, I don't even bother covering or labeling it.Make £2026 in 2026

My late Ma-in-Law used to save those and use them as cake liners for cooking fruit cakes in ,she like me didn't like to waste anything if it could be reused for something else

You are probably right I rarely eat much in the way of cereal
I can remember her having a stock of them years ago in a bag on the back of her scullery door from kellogs cornflake boxes:):) She also saved the liners from loose tea boxes for some reason Can't remember for the life of me now why she did though :):) 0 -
Granny & mum kept the wrapping paper off butter for lining dishes. Baffled me then, but a lot of WW2 cookbooks presume you have "butter paper" to hand, and I only took about a month for the connection to be made...0

I have a wee stack of ' butter paper' in the freezer.
When I unwrap the butter I just fold the wrapper up small and tuck it in the freezer. They soon defrost enough to be used0 -
I use old butter/marg tubs to freeze most things - perfect single portion size!wading through the treacle of life!
