    Never underestimated anything person_one?

Never realised a mistake and done your best to put it right you know by perhaps finding someone better equipped than you to take care of a puppy.

My dogs are both rescues had i realised how bad her separation anxiety is I may not have brought my girl home.
I couldn't know what it was going to be like till we got her back and it's only this year when I have had her for 5 it has got this bad.

I've never had an animal for five months then changed my mind.

Come on melly, people who do this always have a sob story or a great excuse and there are some very sad genuine cases but the cold hard facts are that thousands of dogs end up in rescues every year, thousands end up being destroyed. This is not due to the few genuine people ending up in tricky situations not of their own making this is due to a society that sees animals as throwaway consumer items and a lot of people who don't appreciate the commitment of taking on a dog that may live up to 15 years and see no issue in just ditching them when they become inconvenient.

The OP states that the dog was rehomed due to the owner starting full time work. That sounds like something that could have been either predicted or mitigated to me, not some out of the blue, unpredictable change in circumstances that makes owning the dog completely impossible.

I will give you that they should have realised he impact staring full time work would have on the pup person_one.

I also agree animals are seen as throwaway I see evidence of it daily and it's how we ended up with three of the cats (RIP TYTY).

People don't always think things through fully, they should especially when a sentient being is concerned but they don't. I think that's more a fault of society and the fact it's seen as acceptable than the individual.

What I was trying to say was she rehoused at 5 months before the dog is too damaged, she could have tried for a while and some poor soul have ended up with a Froo
  • As has previously been suggested antler horns are fab! you can get them from pets at home.

Once they start mouthing just shout NO! push them away and turn your back on them, walking out of the room. This really works. You can also exchange your hand for the antler horn when they get rough.
