UVPC or wooden front door?

For a rental property so I am not so bothered about aesthetics so much as security.
Present door is a thick hardwood but someone managed to kick the locks out which has somewhat damaged my faith in wood.
I had always thought that UVPC were less secure but the locksmiths today said that is because people do not lock them properly and with 5 point locking it is far less likely that the door could be kicked in compared to wood.
Advice please
