According to the Cambridge Online Dictionary one definition of BOOM is "to make a very deep and loud hollow sound".
I wonder if that is what they mean! :rotfl:0 -

What did one person walk into their office this week, I suppose that does qualify as a boom these days

I'm supprised the Northern Ireland EA's haven't been all over the press saying that the lastest interest rate drop will kick start the market!:rotfl:
Although I shouldn't be laughing too much as I still own my first home there, bought in May 2006!At least it was on a lifetime base rate tracker :money: and sure when the BOE starts to print more money out of nothing in the third quarter of 2009 that mortgage amount may only be enough for a decent holiday in a few years!
People all over the world will be using sterling notes to wipe their bums on as it will be cheaper than loo roll!

If you live in an adapted house, you could try and sell it to the housing executive, they have people on theit lists who need adapted accomodation, as I did nearly 5 years ago.....they were going to build me one, but realistically it could have taken up to 5 years.....the other option was to find a house for sale and they would assess it and make an offer, however i didnt have time and bought in an area I hate!!:( but the house is mine!!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0

I have been looking at houses recently as a first time buyer, one I looked at started over a year ago at £175k is now on at £95k and is been advised by the EA that £80k would secure it, still sitting unsold
I think there are few FTB's at the present, most mortgage companies want big deposits, 25% or more and FTB's don't have it, I also see co-ownership has had more funding since November.
An estate agents locally boasted 32 sales in January in local press, I'd love them to prove it0
