Help needed with builder

Options
Hi

Can anyone tell me what recourse I can take against a builder who has been paid 95% of his money and has not held to his side of the bargain?

Can't go into to much detail on here incase he knows its me, suffice to say I had to call the police as felt threatened.

Any ideas .. the job was an insurance job and I still have the money for the excess due to him not finishing up what he was supposed to have done, and being aggressive and threatning....

Thanks in advance x

he was paid for by insurance company, but recommended by friend unfortunately, sure he would not have behaved in such away if I had have had a man with me at the time... very scary...

I haven't paid him the excess as yet and wonder how insurance company will view this?

should I contact them and tell them and the reasons why?

would they do anything as they didn't personally recommend him?
