Moving in weeks after completion

We are looking to move into our new property some weeks after completion. I will be in there each day stripping walls and decorating, but no-one will be sleeping there initially.
I understand we will take out buildings insurance on the property from the day of exchange, and will also want contents and possibly legal going forwards on the same plan. But what are the implications of not residing in the property for those first few weeks? I am thinking squatters - Not likely since it has been made a criminal offence so eviction is a phonecall away. , or high insurance premiums in this period - insurance typically requires the property not to be empty for a set period, e.g. 2 weeks+, so since you will be there, it wont affect that. . Would it be better if I do sleep there while the work is being done? It's absolutely liveable but I feel it will be easier doing the work without moving the family in first, and we are under no pressure to leave our current home immediately after completion.

The implications are minimal realistically. Obviously leaving tools in an empty property carries risks.0 -
I had 7 weeks between completion and finally moving in (house needed a fair bit of work and I owned no furniture). I was round a couple of times a week doing jobs. Standard building/contents insurance. Didn't occur to me that this was something extra I had to worry about. The chances of anything happening are pretty minimal so I wouldn't worry too much.They are an EYESORES!!!!0
