Hi guys
Just after a bit of advice!
My mobile has succumbed to water damage, it will be going off to be fixed, but in the interim I needed a cheapy mobile to see me through.
My husband went to a second hand mobile shop and picked up a bog standard android for £55.
Started to use it last night and the speaker doesn't work (ie: when on a phone call the person on the other end can't hear me unless I put them on loudspeaker) I googled to see if there was a fix, there isn't and as out of warranty would have to pay for and send off for repair. No good for me!
Now, the shop we purchased it from stipulated that any returns must be made within 2 days and only a credit note would be given. I understand this if you decided the handset just wasn't for you, but are they allowed to do this if the phone is faulty? Whilst its only 2nd hand surely you wouldnt knowingly purchase a phone that didn't perform the basic of functions?
Am I entitled to a full refund?
Many thanks

Get a replacement from them. I'm sure supermarkets sell them for £100

Consumer Rights Act 2015 says you have 30 days to return it and be entitled to a full refund unless it was faulty at the time of purchase and the retailer pointed out the fault.Even if the item's second-hand or reduced, it doesn't mean you get second-rate consumer rights, except where the seller pointed out the specific problems before you bought.0
