i have downloaded real player and my laptop is slow to boot up is it ok to delete this

Yes

Real Player as far as I know is mostly just spam and bloatware now, best to be rid of it. Make sure you have a look through your installed programs and see if it has installed anything else and get rid. Check start up too (Windows 8, 8.1 and 10, right click task bar and choose task manager, then check startup tab) and turn off anything you don't need to start with the laptop.

There's a blast from the past! Wow! Yeah, it's somewhat unlikely you'll need it - try VLC, it plays almost everything

Depending on where you installed it from , it most likely came bundled with malware or PUP's ..
