patches on painted wall

HI I have painted over dot and dab marks on my plastered walls with Polycell stain stop and allowed to dry
I have now emulsioned the wall and the bits I have treated with stain stop are showing through the new paint as a lighter colour.
What can I do?
Thanks

Paint another coat. Unfortunately it's quite common for these anti damp paints to grin through emulsion due to differences in sheen and texture.0

If I have patches of a wall that are a markedly different colour (tester pots/stain cover/etcetera), I will normally give those areas a few extra coats - before I paint the whole wall.
Don't do it afterwards, as any texture difference will be more obvious.0 -
Try painting the affected area with white gloss undercoat, leave overnight then paint with your required colour.0
