I doubt anyone here is an expert on Singapore law as this is a Uk forum.

I would guess if there is no money, then no payment.

They might continue to send letters to your house if that was where he lived. Just returned all to them.
  • Where was the credit card issued, and by which bank?

Assuming the account was UK based, the executor of the deceased's estate should deal with this matter.

The executor should either settle the debt from the estate, or if there is insufficient left in the estate, write and tell the CC Company that's the case.

There is no obligation for a next-of-kin to settle the debt.

You can call the credit card and speak to a bereavement advisor. They will tell you the process to shut the card down and what they need from the executor to do this.

You do not need to pay if there is nothing in the estate.
