Lower car insurance

Hi Folks. Thought I would just tell you about our car insurance renewal. We just had a renewal through from LV ( we used them last year). The renewal price was £40 plus increase from last year, which is a heck of a jump. I went onto the LV website to get a new quote as though I was a new customer. However, when the home page came up, it gave the option to get an over 50's quote which had not been mentioned on our renewal. This came out lower than the renewal price we had been given and even a couple of pounds less than we paid last year. When we asked them what the difference was between the over 50's cover and the price we had been given, we could'nt get a clear answer, they just kept saying that of course, you get a discount for doing it on line. Yet we took it out ove the phone for the lower price.
