Who should I go and talk to?

Hello, I am in need of some advice on who I should go and talk to in regards to buying the house I'm living in off my mother.
Basically repayments have gone behind over the years and there is about £60000 left on the house to be payed by may 2017 however I am looking to buy the house before it is repossessed on my own mortgage, my mother will remain living at the property with me but the mortgage will be mine, I tried Halifax who my mother/father currently have the mortgage with but was told that if I bought the property through them my mother would HAVE to move out and could no longer live here, is that even correct?!
I am looking for advice on who I should speak to about taking out my first mortgage, buying off my mother and everything in between if that makes sense, I didn't want to arrange meetings with several banks as I would like genuine advice and not to be lead to believe things just to get my custom as this would be my first mortgage and I'm not clued up on this stuff at all... is it worth going down the path of a financial advisor?!
All advice would be much appreciate as time is running out.
Thanks in advance.

Speak to a Mortgage broker. There are potentially 1 or 2 high street lenders who will do this - based purely on what you have said, obivously limited information is available.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Brokers charge anywhere from £0 to £2000+.
Some charge on appication, some on completion and some somewhere in between...Hows that for a vague answer.
Every broker is different and has a different business model. Some will charge nothing and stack the applications as high as possible, others will charge a lot and do very few in order to spend more time on each application. It is all about finding what suits you the most.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
